Sebastian Koch reads Arthur Schnitzler
Sunday, 13. January 2013
Sebastian Koch, partnered by Martina Gedeck in Düsseldorf Opernhaus in 2010, was warmly applauded for a reading from letters of Robert and Clara Schumann. The star of films and television is returning to us now with a reading from Arthur Schnitzler’s Dream Novel (Traumnovelle) in his own concept. Koch’s affinity to the world-famous story will give it new life. His reading will be backgrounded by a stage soundtrack, composed for him especially, evoking the cineastic cool jazz of a Miles Davis in the 50s and 60s. The music of the Köln composer and pianist Hubert Nuss and his trio with extreme discretion can be expected to create successfully an ideal framework for Koch’s highly atmospheric speaking and acting artistry.
