Marie-Thérèse Jossen, geboren in Luzern, übernahm nach einer Gewandmeisterausbildung die Kostümdirektion am Luzerner Theater. Es folgten Gastengagements an die Theater in Saarbrücken, Hannover, Wuppertal, Dortmund und Mainz, an das Theater in der Josefstadt Wien sowie an verschiedene Schweizer Bühnen, wo sie Kostüme für Opern- und Schauspielproduktionen entwarf. Regelmäßig arbeitet sie mit dem Regisseur Georges Delnon zusammen und schuf u.a. die Kostüme zu dessen Inszenierungen von Händels „Saul“ und Mozarts „Don Giovanni“ am Staatstheater Mainz sowie zu der Uraufführung „...22,13...“ von Mark André – einer Koproduktion der Münchener Biennale mit dem Staatstheater Mainz und dem Festival d’automne Paris. Für die Koproduktion des Theaters Basel mit den Schwetzinger Festspielen kreierte sie 2007 die Kostüme zu Bernhard Langs „Der Alte vom Berge“. Mit Martin Schläpfer arbeitet Marie-Thérèse Jossen seit 2004 intensiv zusammen und entwarf u. a. die Kostüme zu seinen Balletten „Frogs and Crows“, „Ritirata notturna“, „Diabelli-Variationen“, Reformationssymphonie“, „3“ und „Pezzi und Tänze“. Für das Ballett am Rhein kreiert sie in dieser Spielzeit die Kostüme zu Martin Schläpfers Ballett „Unleashing the Wolf“, das in b.08 zur Uraufführung kommen wird.

Marie-Thérèse Jossen, born in Lucerne, took over the costume direction at the Lucerne Theatre after completing training as a master tailor. There followed guest assignments at the theatres of Saarbrücken, Hannover, Wuppertal, Dortmund and Mainz, at Vienna’s Theatre in the Josefstadt and at various Swiss houses, where she designed costumes for opera and speaking theatre productions. She has been working regularly with the director Georges Delnon, and among her achievements have been her designs for his productions of Händel’s “Saul“ and Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” at the Mainz State Theatre and for the world première of Mark André’s “… 22, 13…”, a co-production of the Munich Biennale with the Paris Festival d’automne. For a co-production of the Basel theatre with the Schwetzingen Festival in 2007 she designed the costumes for Bernhard Lang’s “Der Alte vom Berge“ (“The Old Man of the Mountain”). Since 2004 Marie-Thérèse Jossen has been working intensively with Martin Schläpfer and designed among much else the costumes for his ballets “Frogs and Crows”, “Ritirata notturna“, “Diabelli Variations”, “Reformation Symphony”, “3” and “Pezzi und Tänze”. In this season she will be creating for Ballett am Rhein the costumes for Martin Schläpfer’s ballet “Unleashing the Wolf”, which will have its world première in the “b.08” multiple bill.
